- to promote sustainable tourism , by working with tourism operators to promote travelling by rail.
- to develop certain stations as South Pennines gateways
- to promote links from the rail network to the surrounding areas, by walking, cycling and community transport
- to support events throughout the South Pennines
- to work with socially excluded communities; and projects with schools to encourage rail travel awareness
The Partnership promotes the Penistone Line, The Caldervale line, and the Huddersfield to Manchester Victoria line.
